For me, Riverbend is a new and exciting experience. It is a sport that even those most unathletic people can enjoy. Riverbend has allowed me to join a social group that I otherwise would have never known of, and it also lets me use a foam sword to beat the crap out of the people in said social group. The Riverbend Combat Association is a great way to safely vent aggression and anger, and also an awesome way to just have fun. It gives the player a new outlook on fitness, and it also incorporates a roleplay reenactment which stimulates both the mind and the body. I honestly can't think of a better way to get a work out than by participating in this fun, fast paced, combat sport. Did I mention that it is fun to beat people with foam swords?
I am still to this day amazed at the friends I have made, and the fun that I have had, just by participating in this sport. Riverbend really allows people to get out of their skin once or twice a week and live out some of their fantasies in a safe and controlled environment. I don't know what else I could say. What could be better than that?
